#NUO2013 Scrabble Ornaments
As for as the ornaments I’ll be featuring this week, well, I’ve had a list of ornaments that I say I’m going to make every year but I’ve never actually gotten around to creating until now. It was a regular ornament making marathon! Case in point, today’s little bauble the Scrabble tile ornament. These were so easy I don’t know what kept me from putting them together sooner!
Supplies
- Scrabble tiles
- wood glue
- power drill
- glitter pipe cleaners
First things first my daughter and I lined out all the words we wanted to put together. Then I called my husband over and nicely asked him to drill holes into the tops of the tiles. I couldn’t tell you what size bit was used, sorry. Once he was done I simply glued them together and let them dry with some of the other ornaments I’ll be sharing later this week.
Once they were dry and sturdy, I thread the pipe cleaners, which also added a pop of color, through the holes and they were ready to go! I’m so happy I finally have Scrabble ornaments for the tree!
Those are definitely very cute ornaments. I've even seen Scrabble pieces used as earrings, too...very cute and whimsical all at the same time :) :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited to see the series return Erin!

Darling. Once I get going on ornaments, I can just keep going, usually right up until Christmas Eve. Will be checking in often to see your ornaments. Linda
ReplyDeleteYay for the No Ugly Ornaments Series! I can't believe it's that time of hear already. I love your Scrabble tile ornaments. I'm a sucker for anything with text so I think those are wonderful!
